HistoryLearn more about our beginnings
Jubilee Mennonite Church, Bellefontaine, OH, is the result of two congregations merging in January, 2001. Bellefontaine Community Fellowship formed in 1981, and the former Jubilee Mennonite church who began meeting in 1995.
In 1999 the two congregations met together occasionally for joint worship and then in 2000 agreed to merge as one under the name of Jubilee Mennonite Church. The congregation voted in 2002 to begin construction of a new facility at the present location of 169 County Road 32 North, one mile west of Bellefontaine Ohio. Groundbreaking was set for June 2004, and Jubilee moved into their new facility in December 2005. The building was constructed primarily by Jubilee members, many of whom committed time and talents in addition to finances toward completing the project.
Jubilee is a member of the Ohio Conference of Mennonite Church USA, and is committed to various mission and outreach efforts locally and around the globe including Habitat for Humanity and Mennonite Central Committee.
